Flat roof leaking right now? Call us — we do same-day emergency repairs across Amersham.
If water is coming through the ceiling, dripping into a light fitting, or pooling on the floor, don’t wait for it to get worse. We keep emergency slots open every day — including evenings and weekends — and can usually be on site within a few hours.

What counts as an emergency
Not every flat roof problem needs an emergency callout. Here’s what does:
- Active leak — water visibly coming through the ceiling or running down a wall
- Ceiling bulge — a wet patch on the ceiling that’s swelling or sagging (this means water is pooling above it and the plasterboard could give way)
- Storm damage — membrane ripped, lifted, or blown off after high winds
- Structural concern — roof deck feels soft or bouncy, or there’s a visible dip in the roof surface
If you’re not sure whether it’s urgent, call us anyway. We’d rather check and tell you it can wait than have you dealing with ceiling damage because you left it a day too long.
What happens when you call
1. You call us. Tell us what’s happening. Photos help if you can get them safely.
2. We get to you fast. Same day in most cases. We cover Amersham, the Chalfonts, Chesham, Beaconsfield, Great Missenden and the surrounding villages — so we’re never far away.
3. We stop the water. The first priority is always stopping the leak. Depending on the situation, that might be a tarpaulin, a temporary patch, emergency sealant, or re-dressing a lifted flashing. Whatever it takes to make it watertight today.
4. We schedule the proper repair. The temporary fix buys you time. We’ll come back within the week (usually within a few days) to do the permanent repair properly — right materials, right conditions, guaranteed work.
What emergency repairs typically cost
Emergency callouts are slightly more than a scheduled repair because of the urgency and out-of-hours element, but we don’t gouge on price.
| Type of work | Typical price |
|---|---|
| Tarpaulin or temporary cover | £150–£300 |
| Emergency seam or split repair | £200–£500 |
| Emergency flashing repair | £150–£400 |
| Full emergency patch (larger area) | £300–£700 |
We’ll tell you the price before we start. No surprises.
After the emergency
Once the immediate problem is sorted, we’ll survey the rest of the roof and let you know whether:
- The temporary fix is actually all you need — sometimes a quick repair turns out to be the permanent solution
- A proper scheduled repair is needed — we’ll quote it separately with a fixed price
- The roof needs replacing — if the emergency exposed wider problems, we’ll be straight with you about that too
We won’t push you toward a replacement if a repair will do. And we won’t leave you with a temporary fix that fails in the next rain.
